I started volunteering at a rape crisis center in 2014. This was my entry into working with folks with trauma and survivors of sexual violence. This work helped solidify my desire to pursue a career in mental health.
I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2019 and my graduate-level certificate in Trauma Studies in 2020. Prior to my grad school, I briefly worked in the tech field, helping to teach robots how to interact with humans safely.
I also worked as a medical advocate for several years, helping people navigate life and the health care system while living with chronic physical and mental illnesses.
